These terms govern your use of Traffic Light Sim, an app by Gentle Motion ("we", "our", or "us"). By using the app, you agree to these terms.
What Traffic Light Sim Does
Traffic Light Sim is a calm traffic-light toy for young children. In the app you can:
- Watch a traffic light run through its sequence, with a countdown ticking beside each lamp
- Flick sideways through a collection of different signals — pedestrian and cyclist crossings, animal crossings, arrow filters and more
- Open a signal's settings and change it: move it, adjust its hoods, retime each lamp
- Turn on gentle sounds and a spoken announcement when the light turns green
No Account Needed
Traffic Light Sim needs no sign-in and no registration, and asks for no personal information. Your settings and any changes you make to a signal are stored locally on your device.
Free to Play and the One-Time Purchase
Traffic Light Sim is free to play, and every signal in it is free. After a while of continuous play the app suggests a short break. There is an optional one-time purchase that removes those break reminders permanently. It is not a subscription and does not renew.
- The purchase unlocks uninterrupted play — it does not unlock extra content, because there is no locked content
- The purchase is handled entirely by the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store, subject to their pricing and refund policies
- We do not collect or store any payment information
- The purchase is presented behind a simple grown-ups-only check, so it is not made by accident
Suitable for Children
This app is made for young children. It has no advertisements, no chat, no social features, no user-generated content, and no links out of the app other than to our own pages and, from the grown-ups-only area, the app store. Please see our Privacy Policy for exactly what information the app does and does not handle.
Not a Road-Safety Teaching Tool
Traffic Light Sim is a toy. Its signals, timings and pictograms are inspired by real traffic signals from around the world but are simplified and stylised for play, and they do not represent the rules of any particular country. It is not road-safety instruction and must not be relied on as such. Teaching a child how to cross a road safely is a grown-up's job, in the real world.
Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the app for any unlawful or harmful purpose, or in a way that infringes the rights of others
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, tamper with, or disrupt the app
Provided "As Is"
Traffic Light Sim is provided for entertainment, "as is", without warranties of any kind. We work hard to keep it pleasant and bug-free, but we cannot guarantee it will always be uninterrupted or error-free.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Gentle Motion shall not be liable for any damages arising from your use of Traffic Light Sim.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the updated terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
