Gentle Motion ("we", "our", or "us") built the Traffic Light Sim app. The app is free to play, with an optional one-time purchase that removes the gentle break reminders. This page explains what information the app does and does not handle when you use it.

We respect your privacy. Our app:

- Does not require account registration or sign-in
- Does not display third-party advertisements
- Does not sell or share your information with third parties
- Does not use any advertising identifier, and does not track anyone across apps, sites, or over time
Information Collection and Use
Traffic Light Sim does not collect any personally identifiable information. There is no account, no sign-in, no profile, and no way to enter a name, an email address, or anything else about yourself into the app. The signals you play with, the changes you make to them, and your settings are stored locally on your device.
Anonymous Usage Analytics
The app sends us a small amount of anonymous information about how the app itself is used — which screens are opened and which controls are tapped — so we can see which parts of the app work and which do not. We want to be precise about what this is, because this app is made for children:
- The app runs in a kids-safe analytics mode. The identifier attached to these events is generated fresh each time the app is opened and is never stored on the device or anywhere else.
- Because that identifier is discarded when the app closes, the events from one play session cannot be linked to any other session. Nobody — including us — can follow a person over time, recognise a returning user, or build a profile.
- No advertising identifier is used or collected. No location is collected. No contacts, photos, files, microphone, or camera data are accessed.
- These events are sent to servers we operate ourselves. They are not sent to an advertising network or a data broker, and they are never sold.
This is engagement measurement, not tracking, and it is deliberately built so that it cannot become tracking.
Children's Privacy
Traffic Light Sim is designed for young children, and we are committed to protecting their privacy:
- We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children
- The app requires no personal information whatsoever to work
- There are no social features, no chat, no user-generated content, and no way for a user to share personal information
- The app contains no third-party advertisements
- The anonymous usage analytics described above carry no persistent identifier, so a child cannot be recognised or followed across sessions
- The optional purchase sits behind a grown-ups-only check, so a child cannot make it by accident
Parents and guardians can feel confident that their children can use this app safely.
Purchases
The optional one-time purchase is handled entirely by the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store. We never see or store your payment details. The app asks the store whether the purchase has been made; that is the only thing it needs to know.
Data Storage and Retention
Your settings and any edits you make to a signal are stored locally on your device only. They never leave your device and are not accessible to us. We hold no account, no profile, and no personal data about you on our servers. The anonymous usage events described above are kept in aggregate to understand how the app is used, and they contain nothing that identifies a person or a device.
Your Rights
You can delete everything the app has stored by uninstalling it from your device. Because we hold no account and no personal data, there is nothing on our side to identify, export, or delete — but if you would like to make a request anyway, you can use our data deletion page or email us and we will confirm what we hold (which is nothing that identifies you).
Third-Party Services
This app does not use advertising networks or third-party analytics platforms. The usage analytics described above go to our own servers. Purchases are processed by Google Play or the Apple App Store under their own privacy policies.
