These terms govern your use of Escalator Simulator, an app by Gentle Motion ("we", "our", or "us"). By using the app, you agree to these terms.
What Escalator Simulator Does
Escalator Simulator is a metro-station escalator toy for young children. In the app you can:
- Pick an escalator from a collection of metro stations, each with its own look
- Run each of the two escalators up or down, choose its speed, and stop and start it
- Watch the cartoon riders travel, wobble when it gets too fast, tumble when it stops suddenly, and get back up
- Look from the top, from the bottom, ride along, or loop up one escalator and down the other
- Change the station: its colours, its lamps and how many storeys the escalator climbs
No Account Needed
Escalator Simulator needs no sign-in and no registration, and asks for no personal information. Your settings and any changes you make to an escalator are stored locally on your device.
Free to Play and the One-Time Purchase
Escalator Simulator is free to play with two escalators. There is an optional one-time purchase that permanently unlocks all the other escalators in the app. It is not a subscription and does not renew.
- The purchase unlocks the escalators that are in the app at the time you buy it; everything else in the app is free to use
- The purchase is handled entirely by the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store, subject to their pricing and refund policies
- We do not collect or store any payment information
- The purchase is presented behind a simple grown-ups-only check, so it is not made by accident
Suitable for Children
This app is made for young children. It has no advertisements, no chat, no social features, no user-generated content, and no links out of the app other than to our own pages and, from the grown-ups-only area, the app store. Please see our Privacy Policy for exactly what information the app does and does not handle.
A Toy, Not Escalator Safety
Escalator Simulator is a toy. Its stations, speeds and riders are stylised for play, and the riders' tumbles are cartoon slapstick that nobody gets hurt in. It is not escalator-safety instruction and must not be relied on as such. Real escalators are not for playing on; showing a child how to ride one safely is a grown-up's job, in the real world.
Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the app for any unlawful or harmful purpose, or in a way that infringes the rights of others
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, tamper with, or disrupt the app
Provided "As Is"
Escalator Simulator is provided for entertainment, "as is", without warranties of any kind. We work hard to keep it pleasant and bug-free, but we cannot guarantee it will always be uninterrupted or error-free.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Gentle Motion shall not be liable for any damages arising from your use of Escalator Simulator.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the updated terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
